Hello there. Jerusalem is so amazing! I love being here. The whole city is so old and beautiful.
Guess what I have decided? I don't think I can ever go back to a very white-looking guy (not that I really had a super-white guy but you know what I mean) after seeing all these REALLY good looking Arabic guys!! Seriously, Kelsey and I just walk around East Jerusalem with our jaws dropped. They all are very olive skinned with dark hair and they have gorgeous blue or green eyes. Have their babies? Gladly.
The only downside about our group (which is awesome) is that the guy to girl ratio is pretty uneven. I think it's like I think it's like 60 to 20 or something like that. But playing soccer definitely helps! There are usually only a couple girls who play and lots of body contact (oooer i know) so that is better.
We just had church which was pretty cool. Our auditorium where we had sacrament overloooks the whole city and it's gorgeous. I love seeing the Dome of the Rock everyday! I'm going to dress up Muslim-like so I can go inside (I think I can pass as Arabic!) but I gotta okay it by the teachers because apparently the punishment for going in there and not being Muslim is death. But Marni did it so hopefully I will be just fine.
Last night we went to the Old City and it was so fun! We just walked around all the streets and saw little kids running around. It was beautiful and old and...I love it! We accidentally walked through the middle of all these Spanish Catholic priests doing some chanting and stuff haha. And as we were leaving we saw all these orthodox jewish guys rushing to their shabbat services, it was crazy they had long sideburns and huge furry hats and everything.
