If anyone knows me at all, they know that I'm in love with Italy. From the first time I went there when I was 19 to the latest trip I had there last year at 31, Italy has a big piece of my heart. There's a reason Italy's nickname is "The Beautiful Place" — because it really is! Everything about Italy is so fun; the food is incredible, the people are friendly and fun, and the whole country is so well connected that it's fun to explore all over. Best of Italy: Rome

From its significant role in history to its beautiful arts, Rome is breathtaking. I think everyone should go at least once! There is so much to see and it's a really fun mix of old and new. How I do Laundry! Minimalist & Headache-Free Approach

Steps to having an Easy Laundry Life! You can watch the video here (without sound) or watch it with sound on Instagram. Before you begin, make sure: You have plenty of detergent (I ran out the other day in the middle of our laundry day and wow did it throw a wrench in things!) You have an easy way to carry laundry to and from the laundry room (I use these baskets from Amazon, and they double as our dirty clothes hamper) You've picked your "day for laundry"! This is crucial to getting laundry done and out of your hair for the rest of the week. Wednesday is our laundry day. I picked Wednesday because it's a day that's midweek (less interruption when you're going on vacation or have holidays etc.). What to Pack in a Kid's Carry On

Here's what we pack in our kids carryon backpacks for the plane rides. SNACKS (see our full snack list ) ARTSY STUFF Coloring Books Etch Books (I like this one from Amazon) Markers Stickers Doodle boards (we have these ones ) HEADPHONES/EARBUDS (sometimes the ones provided in the plane are either too big for little ears or not great quality) JACKET (even if we're going someplace warm, sometimes the planes/airports can be cold) TOYS (we try to bring things they have never seen before! Dollar Tree is a great supplier here) DIAPERS (if they're over 2 and not potty trained yet) Here's what kid-related stuff I pack in my carryon backpack (or wear) for the plane rides. Best of Italy: Pisa

Pisa is right in the heart of Tuscany and definitely worth a visit! I even recommend staying there instead of Florence (much more affordable lodging and only a small train ticket away). I adore the little city of Pisa. It's cute, it's quaint, and it's well-connected to the rest of Italy too. W hen I lived with an Italian host family in Pisa, I really got to spend a lot of time here exploring all the little streets of the city. My friend Kate and I both stayed with host families in Pisa in the summer of 2011 I wouldn't say Pisa is the best for tons of sight-seeing, but I do think it's one of the best cities just to get a good feeling of what Italian life is like. The atmosphere (especially not around the Leaning Tower) is just a really special one of a true Italian city and lifestyle.
